BobbyDee received the 2007 GOLD International Artist Award from Internet Radio.He has also sponsored an Artist Room where Independent Artist can share their material and get it heard on Internet Radio,He has also won the 2007 International Supreme Male Vocalist of the year award.
He grew up in Milton and Cambridge City areas in Indiana. At the age of Five, he got his first flat-top guitar which was accidentally left out in the rain, but because of his dedication to music he was able to save enough money and buy himself a Vox Electric guitar at the age of thirteen..
Growing up in a musical family; being the only son out of six siblings, he chose music as a
"way out" away from the girls. His father became his mentor; passing his skills and talent
to his Thirteen year old son.
He moved to Nashville, Tennessee & formed a band which they called "The Southern
Legacy ." They played at Tootsie's Orchid Lounge, The Stage, Legions, Roberts and a few
other local places around Nashville. He is Also a Member of The Tennessee Country Music
Alliance., BMI.
At the age of Seventeen, Bobby played at Tootsie's Orchid Lounge . It wasn't until 1994,
that he professionally started singing at the local VFW's, Moose Lodges, American
Legions, RV Parks and even Talent Shows. He sang Karaoke songs from various artists
like Merle Haggard, Hank Sr., David Lee Murphy and more. E. A. Gregory heard his music
and was so impressed that they asked him to play at Marion County Fair Grounds in
Ocala, Florida in 1995.
He was also invited by Starbourne Records to appear as their guest at the Grand Ole
Opry in Nashville, Tennessee. Waylon Jennings was so impressed with Bobby Dee, that
he asked him to join his tour along with United Shows of America. From there he started
touring with E. A. Gregory, also known as United Shows of America, to places like
Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee and Florida, during which time he
opened for Waylon Jennings, Eddie Rabbit, John Connely, Tommy Cash, Aaron Tippin, Bill
Anderson, Jim Ed Brown, Fox Brothers, Porter Wagner, Mark Chestnut, Johnny Paycheck,
Travis Tritt, Ken Mellons, Kitty Wells and many more. He also played with The Grand Ole
Opry Road Show. He toured with E. A. Gregory for a total of three years; from 1995 to
1998.
In 2005,he moved back to Ocala. He has been performing and helping artists fulfill their dreams since that time.
He has won several awards and has since started and Entertainment Company,"Xtreme Promotions USA" , Record Label "HOOTIN RECORDS",Music Directior for ACRN.FM and is very involved in the community...
